The HK-CRISPR-CAP-D3-mEGFP cell line is genetically engineered for advanced cellular research. Derived from Hela Kyoto cells, it uses CRISPR/Cas9 technology to tag the CAP-D3 gene with monomeric Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein (mEGFP). CAP-D3 is crucial for chromosomal organization and segregation during cell division. The mEGFP tag enables real-time visualization of CAP-D3 dynamics. This cell line is a valuable tool for studying chromosomal stability and integrity, particularly in diseases like cancer.
